As I reflect on 2023, I’m filled with a sense of accomplishment and excitement. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with clients who inspire me every day. From branding initiatives that capture the essence of a company to graphic design projects that breathe new life into a brand, each project has been a rewarding experience.
In this post, I’m thrilled to share six of my favorite projects from last year. These highlights showcase the diverse range of work I’ve had the pleasure of creating—each one with its own unique story and vision. Aqueous Diagnostics
Logo Design & Brand Identity
When Aqueous Diagnostics approached me to create their brand identity, the vision was clear: to embody the essence of water—fluid, adaptable, and essential to life. Water not only bridges gaps but also represents movement and transformation, aligning perfectly with Aqueous Diagnostics’ mission to make healthcare diagnostics more accessible and integrated into everyday life.
The logo design reflects this inspiration with a continuous flowing triangle, symbolizing the unbroken and dynamic nature of water. The negative space at the center of the triangle forms a water droplet, reinforcing the brand’s connection to its core element. The triangular shape also subtly hints at the letter ‘A,’ making it distinctively identifiable.
Beyond the logo, the brand identity extended to a variety of applications, ensuring consistency and versatility. I consulted on the branding and copywriting for their website, guiding the messaging and visuals to align with their mission of accessibility and innovation. Additionally, I designed a PowerPoint template that reinforces their brand identity in all their presentations, ensuring that every piece of communication is visually cohesive.
From packaging and business cards to social media headers and a brand guidelines document, every element of Aqueous Diagnostics’ branding is crafted with care. The thoughtfully chosen color palette—deep blue for trust, bright blue for modernity, and accents of pink and orange for energy and enthusiasm—creates a vibrant yet professional image, ensuring the brand makes a strong impression in the healthcare industry.
Through this branding, Aqueous Diagnostics now has a cohesive and adaptable identity that reflects its commitment to bringing cutting-edge diagnostic solutions wherever they’re needed—just like water’s ability to reach and nourish all corners of life.
Therametric Technologies, Inc.
Website Design & Development
Composion collaborated with Therametric Technologies to design and develop a new website that builds on the brand identity crafted for them in 2022. The goal was to create a digital presence that not only reflects their core mission—advancing oral health through innovative product development—but also enhances user experience and clearly communicates who they are and how they support their partners.
The new website, developed in WordPress, is fully responsive, ensuring seamless interaction across all devices. The brand’s modern aesthetic is integrated into a sleek design with easy-to-navigate structures. Custom-designed icons add a fun visual element and enhance the clarity of key site components.
A standout feature of this project is the custom photography displayed throughout the site. Composion assisted Therametric in finding a skilled local photographer, who captured authentic images of their facility, employees, and state-of-the-art lab equipment. These visuals not only enhance credibility but also offer visitors a genuine look at the company’s dedication to advancing oral health.
To ensure the messaging resonated with their audience, strategic copywriting support was provided, drawing from the in-depth brand research conducted the previous year. The content was tailored to reflect Therametric’s commitment to innovation, dependability, and the betterment of human health, while directly addressing their target audience—corporate dental product manufacturers.
Overall, the new website embodies Therametric’s brand values and vision, positioning them as leaders in the oral health industry and laying a strong foundation for their continued growth.
Idyllic Interior Design
Logo Design & Brand Identity
The Idyllic Interior Design logo beautifully captures the essence of creating spaces that are happy, peaceful, and picturesque—qualities inherent in the name “Idyllic.” This ultra-modern logo features a room design with a table, chairs, and a chandelier. The overall composition forms the shape of a house, symbolizing the comfort and security of home. At the center, a circle represents the light from the chandelier, adding a vibrant pop of color and drawing the eye to the heart of the design.
To ensure versatility, multiple logo variations were created, including a version with the name encircling the logomark and a simplified version with just the house icon. These options allow for flexible application across different mediums while maintaining brand consistency.
The color palette features shades of green that evoke renewal and growth—ideal for an interior design business focused on creating spaces that rejuvenate and inspire. The deep blue adds depth and sophistication, balancing the fresh green tones.
The primary typeface, Brandon Grotesque, reinforces the logo’s modern and clean aesthetic. The rounded corners of the typeface subtly mirror the illustrations within the logo, ensuring a cohesive and polished appearance. This thoughtful pairing of typography and iconography results in a brand identity that’s as stylish and inviting as the spaces Idyllic Interior Design creates.
Overall, the Idyllic Interior Design brand identity seamlessly marries modern design elements with a welcoming, approachable feel. It reflects the brand’s promise to help clients feel more connected to their homes through thoughtful, personalized design.
Gastro Care Partners
Newsletter, Flyer, & Pitch Deck Design
Gastro Care Partners (GCP) needed a set of marketing materials that not only reinforced their existing brand identity but also made complex information more engaging for their audience of wellness providers and partners. Building upon GCP’s established brand, which prominently features various shades of blue, the designs were enhanced with fresh imagery and creative design elements to make the content more visually appealing and easier to digest (pun intended).
The quarterly newsletter designs, tailored for employees and partners, provide updates and insights in a format that’s both informative and visually engaging. Each newsletter strikes a balance between consistency and creativity, ensuring that important information is communicated effectively while maintaining reader interest.
The flyer design outlines the benefits GCP offers physicians and is designed to be easy to understand at a quick glance. This emphasizes GCP’s commitment to supporting physicians so they can focus on providing exceptional patient care.
Together, these materials not only reflect GCP’s dedication to promoting better digestive health but also serve as powerful tools for communication and partnership development, reinforcing their position as a leader in the GI industry.
Renaistre Talent Group
Logo Design, Branding & Website Design
The logo design merges classic elegance with contemporary professionalism, designed to appeal to both employers and job candidates. It features an elegant crown logomark, with a dynamic swoosh that echoes the curve of the “R” in Renaistre. The color scheme of deep navy and gold, enhanced with shades of blue, conveys a sense of trust, success, and stability, which are paramount in the recruitment industry.
Paramount Pool & Spa Systems
Awards Gala Event Theme, Logo, Branding, Printed Materials, & Video Presentation
Every year, Paramount Pool & Spa Systems celebrates excellence with an awards gala during their Passport to Paradise dealer trip. This year’s event, held in Sydney, Australia, unfolded at the Four Seasons, overlooking the iconic Sydney Opera House.
Tasked with crafting a name, theme, and complete brand experience for this gala, Composion chose to weave together the elegance of the Four Seasons Sydney’s ballroom with the artistic legacy of the Sydney Opera House. The name “Starlight Soirée” perfectly captures the event’s sophistication, designed to spotlight Paramount’s star dealers and their successes.
The “Starlight Soirée” logo beautifully merges musical symbolism with celestial elegance. The ‘S’ mimics a treble clef, emphasizing harmony, while the dot of the ‘i’ is a musical note, and the accent on the ‘é’ resembles a staccatissimo, adding a sharp, musical flair. The logo design also incorporates a star, aligning with the concept of a night where Paramount’s star dealers are recognized.
The choice of black, white, silver, and gold for the event’s branding enhances the luxurious atmosphere, symbolizing the high-quality and prestigious nature of the event. To match the theme, guests were encouraged to dress in black, white, or silver, further immersing them in the elegant ambiance of the evening. The logo animation, a chrome and gold masterpiece accompanied by stage lighting and curtains, provided a dramatic reveal, enhancing the theatrical experience.
Branded event collateral included photo backdrops, signage, dinner menus, email announcements, and a postcard mailer. Video presentations celebrating the achievements of Paramount’s top dealers were integrated seamlessly, maintaining the theme and adding to the evening’s enchantment.
The “Starlight Soirée” was more than an awards gala; it was a testament to the excellence that Paramount dealers are known for, making it a night to remember for every attendee.
